Blue bells compacta is almost identical to the regular blue bells except it is a more compact growing plant.

Compacta grows about 8 inches tall

Chi-Chi can be potted, or the rooted ends tucked into the rocks of a streambed or water fall.

Hardy zones 8 or higher but can be "lifted" and stored in moist peat over the winter in zones less than 8.

I have had some over-winter here in zone 7 though, depending on the winter.
