My Fish - These are some of my breeders for the koi we sell!
Blaze
Blaze
Japanese imported Hi Utsuri. Blaze is the star of my pond.
She has her own table she likes to eat at by herself. She also
enjoys her grapefruit Female
Double Dot
Double
Dot name is from the 2 red dots on her nose near her mouth.
Male
Flash
Doitsu
Showa "Flash"
Lucky
"Lucky"
used to be called the pump fish because he was sucked into a pump
the same day he arrived in late 1999. He broke his back in 4
places. When we moved to NC he went over all the water falls in my
pond. That is when I changed his name from the "pump fish" to
Lucky! Sadly Lucky passed away on Christmas Eve of 2005. As he
got older it was increasingly harder for him to swim. We have some
amazing babies he produced to carry on his name
Read his story here
Patches
Patches
was a doitsu Hi Showa. I bought here as an 18 inch fish in 2001.
In 2002 she lost all the Hi (red) and became a doitsu Shiro Utsuri.
She still enjoys her grapefruit.
Utsee
Utsee is
Rich's fish. She is the only fish he has ever bought. He fell
in love with her at a Koi show. She was bred by Suda. She too
is an amazing fish who survived many odds and stumped 2 of the best
fish vets in the USA. You can
read about Utsee here She won first place at the koi show!
?????
Japanese
Imported Yamabuki Ogon, a pathetically thin koi that I will fatten
up (as of late 2015, she's gotten plenty fat.)
Zorro
Zorro is
another super star in my pond. Visitors are in total awe of him.
The Japanese believe a black koi in the pond is good luck Male
Thor
Thor is a
Hi Shusui. He is the biggest fish in my pond.
Sunny
Lookat her tail. Awesome!
Sunny,
what can I say? She was my very first fish and it was love at
first site.
Sunny is
over 31 years old at this writing in 2015 She no longer gets
eggs (top left photo) because of her age. In the spring of 2004
Sunny and Lucky produced their last spawn together.
We now
have "Sparkle Plenty" who will replace Sunny as your yellow butterfly
breeder. She has her Dad's (Lucky) long pectoral fins and her
moms incredibly long tail fin.
"Bonnie's plants are extremely lush,
top-size plants at prices that compete with our local budget stores! I have
received another shipment from her, and, as always, it arrived in perfect
condition - the Bonus Plant anespecially nice touch!"
