How hot is too hot?

How hot is too hot for a pond? The hot weather seems to be an issue across the country. At what temperature do you start to worry?

Anything over 90 can be bad. Warm water does not hold much oxygen. Feed very lightly once daily in early am or late pm when water tends to be a bit cooler.

One thing that help is to let the hose spray across the top of the water and it will cool it down some. And the fish love the oxygen rich water if the spray from the hose is fine.

Fish gasping at or near the top or near water falls or water returns is a sign of low oxygen. Keep an eye out for that behavior.

Provide shade as much as possible with plants or something over the pond.
We stood a patio umbrella in a tank outside a few years ago.....until we came up with a permanent solution
