Any suggestions on the best way to minimize wrinkles when installing a pond liner? Thanks.

Add an inch or so of water and work the wrinkles out. As you continue to fill keep working the wrinkles. It is a slow tedious job

Keep in mind it is almost impossible to get them all out.

My pond builder used tape to tape over the wrinkles before adding water. What a mistake. Over time the tape deteriorated and came loose and would clog my skimmers. But then he was not as experienced as he claimed to be!

the way bonnie told you to do it is the only way I know how to do it also we do that to the small swimming pool that we put on the deck. when we put our liner in the pond in spring thats how we will do it one wrinkle at a time and our new pond is 26' wide x36' long x3.50' deep average thats a lot of wrinkles to take out.

Yep,
The old square peg in a round hole. It is impossible to keep out all of the wrinkles. If any thing is attached to the liner like a skimmer or bottom drain make sure to leave a small amount of flex, things will settle..
