great frog (and toad) Teresa! I will have to get some fresh pix of mine. F-2 (bullfrog) is getting quite big on a diet of 40 crickets a week. He/she is getting quite bold too when it comes feeding time!

Too bad the bulb went. It's a good idea to carry a spare as you will always use it.

Actually the UV was only a few months old. Long story but I got it off of eBay and the seller burn me in everyway with the transaction even sent a different brand then I bought. The Seller got kick off so I am just out of luck trying to get my $ back on it. Usually I have very good luck with items I buy off eBay but not this time. This pea soup water is for the birds I cant hardly stand it looking down in my pond and not being able to see my babies. :( Miss looking out my kitchen window or back door and not being able to see them swimming/playing around.

I "HATE" green water too. I get so upset when I can not see my fish, so I always have a back up bulb ready to go in.

We do keep our fry tanks green because they do grow faster in green water.

With all your plants Teresa, I would think it would not stay green very long

When our oldest daughter moved here to NC, she always complained about the d**m frogs and toads.
The bedroom upstairs over looks the back yard and there are gazillions of frogs and toads here of every size and color
She finally bought a set of ear plugs so she could go to sleep at night.

Even though it gets hot here I don't turn the central air on unless we have company. I have to have all my windows, all 24 of them, and all 4 doors open.. We do have huge ceiling fans in every room here though. I personally love the sound of nature.

I have a hummingbird feeder and a wild bird feeder outside my kitchen window that also overlooks the pond and back yard,
I love it when they "call" for me to fill the feeders up!

Regards,

Bonnie

Yeah I have gotten a lot of plants but I have a heck of a time keeping them between the koi, grandpups and the worse hail storm I think I have very seen awhile back its a wonder I have anything left. The CATTAIL - Graceful Typha laxmannii I got from you I don't know how the koi did it but they plucked the stem right out of the pot leaving the root still in the soil. I push the stem back down in the pot and notice the other day when the grandpup came along and pulled it back out it had start to root out so back in the pot it went again. The water celery I got from you has been pulled out with the roots twice in one day by the grandpup. Again I have to say I don't know how he did it but the grandpup pulled out the pot that had Fiber Optic Grass in it out of the pond the grass fill out in the pond and the koi shred it apart. I did manage to gather up what I could from the pond and repotted it. Darn dog never does anything when you are watching him but the minute your back is turn watch out. The parrots feathers the koi shred almost all the leaves off the stems. :( Then the five Bluebell Compacta the hail storm beat them down to almost nothing just a small stem left. You was right they came back and full of new leaves no blooms yet but I am sure they will. The lilies usually bloomed by now hasn't. Now the UV light and dealing with the pea soup  This has to be the worse summer with the pond I have had I am not giving up on it I love it to much but cant help from thinking sometimes why I even try when I go out and see all the hard work you put into the pond and its tore up. Like I said I love the hobby to much to ever quit. :D

Ah, Teresa, don't give up better days are ahead. We went through that stage when our rottenweiller was a pup. She would pull every blasted plant out of the pond and chew them. Our trainer said take and stick her head in the pond. Darn I hated to do that but I have to tell you, that was the last time she took plants out of the pond.

I didn't fix the photo, if it was fixed, Pat did it. I have no idea about pixels and sizes LOL

I just know I size my photos 640 by 480 when I take them out of the camera. LOL

Here is a fresh shot of F-2. He has claimed the lotus patch. F-4 is still losing its tail and is a drama queen when I walk out to the pond. I guess its very nervous about becoming a meal for F-2. I have had multiple Greenies in the pond with no territory issues but this will be my first attempt at Bullfrogs.

Teresa, I am wondering if that little froggy friend is still hanging around? I ended up with around 15 frogs. They are so fun to watch. I can't believe summer is over :(
