Simply lower the camera into the water and then run the single cable to the composite video port of your TV or VCR, plug in the DC adapter, switch your TV to video and begin watching your fish.   How do I know if the camera will work with my TV or VCR? And, we found that the LEDS does not offer sufficient viewing at night unless the fish swims up to the lens. We have found that a much better option is to place lights above the water and behind the camera which will give you excelling night time viewing. I also suggest that the above lighting be put on a timer so that they are only on for a few hours after dark, as to not disturb the fish at night for a long period of time.
